TECHNICAL STUDIES

A technological study consists in objective observations and examinations of the materiality of an artwork. This step leads to a better understanding of the nature of a piece and its history. The information gathered allows to build an appropriate proposal treatment for each work of art. Based on the study conducted, our studio can provide a condition report or advise on the conservation state of an artwork.

MAPPING & IMAGING

Scientific imagery and cartography are tools now commonly used by the conservation field. The observations gathered through the preliminary study can be efficiently transcribed into a visual form. Each of those visual tools are carefully chosen to highlight specific and pertinent characteristics of an artwork.
